September is gone and I wanted to reflect on what it taught me. First, I sure do feel better off sugar. Yesterday, which was October 2nd, I made some banana bread with some over ripe bananas we had. I did add some brown sugar, thinking it wouldn't be too bad.Last night, I had heartburn and this morning I have a headache. The body sure does communicate with you if you listen. I was happy that there were times when I felt very comfortable in passing on the sugar this time. I think I was ready to put it down. Overall swelling went down and brain fog lifted. I didn't lose any weight, but this is because of a thyroid issue. However, my thyroid was visibly less puffy and I didn't have the discomfort in my throat.
